Studying here at The Weald
Sixth Form has been such
a great experience. The subjects
are great, and the teachers are
really helpful. Studying what I
truly am interested in has helped
my motivation a lot in school, and
having a smaller class size has
really allowed me to focus and
get direct help from my teachers
without feeling unheard. The extra
support given to me by the Sixth
Form staff has been amazing,
and there hasn’t been a moment
during my time here where I’ve felt
that I’ve had no options for help,
whether it be for schoolwork or
mental health. Studying here has
been great, and I feel confident
and supported throughout every
decision I make.
I chose to study at the Weald
Sixth Form because of its
strong programmes in my areas of
interest and its supportive working
environment. The college’s
unique offering of four A Levels
provided me with an opportunity
to deepen my academic pursuits.
The smaller class sizes foster an
environment where I can readily
engage, ask questions, and
receive personalised feedback,
leading to a more focused and
productive learning experience.
Ultimately, The Weald Sixth Form
has provided me with an enriching
experience and the right tools.
What really appealed
to me about The Weald
Sixth Form was that I liked the
courses offered in the subjects I
wanted to study, for example, the
Tudor module in History. I also
particularly liked the option to
complete an EPQ in Year 12 as I
knew it would help me develop
my writing and research skills in
preparation for university. I found
the atmosphere in Sixth Form
really welcoming when I came to
visit and as an external student
I have found it really easy to
make friends. There are lots of
opportunities to get involved and I
have taken part in music concerts,
volunteered at the primary school
for Super- Curricular and am
proud to have been elected as a
prefect. This summer, I am looking
forward to going to Kenya to build
classrooms and have been busy
raising money for this. The Sixth
Form is really supportive and
there are lots of options for extra
help if I need it. As a dyslexic
student I find the smaller classes
beneficial and the teachers really
helpful.
