One of the main reasons I chose to
take A level Drama and Theatre at The
Weald, having not previously studied here,
was because the passion from the teachers
was palpable. It is reflected in their vigour
to try to do what’s right for us. I have always
loved drama and the idea of immersing
yourself into being someone completely
different, so you forget about who you are
for a second, is great. And while written work
here is common, it never feels like a burden
due to the way it’s taught and only furthers
that form of escapism for me. Drama also
just draws a community together here even
if that’s between students or the large family
of a production. Community at The Weald
is strong but further created and pursued in
Drama. Oli
