Studying at
The Weald
8.45 – 9.10
Prospective students often wonder what their timetable
might be like in our Sixth Form, so we have included a
sample timetable below which includes both A-level and
BTEC courses, the Extra Strand and Super-Curricular
periods. Students have a rolling two week timetable of
lessons which will include some private study time. During
your study periods you may choose to apply for Home
Study or remain on site making use of one of the dedicated
study rooms in the Sixth Form Centre. In addition, optional
after school sessions in some subjects run until 4.15 pm.
School buses arrive by 8.40 am and depart at 3.15 pm
everyday as well as at 4.30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays
and Thursdays.
We offer a wide range of Level 3 A level and BTEC subjects,
and will help you to make the right choice of courses for you
as an individual. We also offer a Level 2 transition pathway
for those students who don’t quite meet the requirements
to study a Level 3 pathway and need the opportunity to
resit Maths and English Language GCSEs. The entry grade
requirements for all Level 2 and Level 3 courses can be
found in the courses section of the prospectus.
