Applications open from late September. Apply using the online application form at www.varndean.ac.uk
Ensure you apply by the deadline of Friday 5 December 2025 to be considered as a priority for
September 2026 entry.
Applications are accepted after this date, but priority is given to those received by the deadline.
JANUARY/FEBRUARY - ADMISSIONS INTERVIEWS
Attend an Admissions Interview, usually in January or February.
At the interview we will discuss your course choices with you, and providing you are predicted to meet the
specified entry requirements and you are supported by your school, you will be offered a conditional place.
Please note that late in the application cycle, this may be a ‘waiting list offer’.
JULY - NEW STUDENTS’ DAY
Spend some time at Varndean College attending our New Students’ Day. This offers a valuable opportunity to
attend subject sessions for your chosen courses, meet staff and become involved in our vibrant community
atmosphere. This is also when we set important Course Start work for you.
AUGUST - ENROLMENT
Following your GCSE results, attend an Enrolment Meeting to finalise your programme of study.
SEPTEMBER - INDUCTION DAY
Before teaching commences in early September, you will have a comprehensive induction to life as a sixth
form student to ensure the start of your journey at Varndean College is an exciting and positive one.
