STUDENT UNION
In the Spring term of Year One, students have the opportunity to represent their peers by
being elected as part of the Student Union Leadership team. The SU represents students’
views and ideas, in order to be an effective and legitimate voice of the student body at
Varndean Sixth Form College, putting forward any suggestions that students would like to
see implemented.
It teaches students many transferable skills, such as democracy, communication and
teamwork, and is valuable life experience to gain and include on a CV, UCAS personal
statement, or a job application.
