GCSE Trilogy (Double) Science
Sociology is the study of human society; it draws on a
variety of viewpoints in order to understand the social
world around us. In this course you will learn about how
society shapes people’s ideas and behaviour and you
will relate this to your own experience of living in British
society. You will also study how societies change over
time and how societies differ across cultures. You will look
at how gender, ethnicity and social class affects our lives.
This course will help you to think critically about the world
and explore different perspectives on society by drawing
on sociological theories and key studies.
If you need a Science or wish to progress to a Level 3
Science course, then these courses are for you. Most
students will have followed a GCSE Science double award
or single separate Science at school so these courses
will have a large overlap. We offer either separate GCSE
Biology or Trilogy Science (Double Science).
For Biology you will carry out 8 practicals over the course
and for Trilogy Science you will carry out 16.
